Instructions for Participants
The order of the Parade is:
1. Color Guard
2. US 3rd Marine Air Wing Band
3. HPR Flag
4. House of USA
5. Nations in the order of their date of membership into HPR. e.g. the 1935 date Nations first. When the entry year is the same, then the Nations will be lined up alphabetically.
Units will enter through the WEST ENTRY of the Organ Pavilion. The Emcee will announce the entry of each Parade unit. The Color Guard and US Marine band ONLY will march onto the stage.
Nations, lead by the USA, will march to the far left, (underneath the giant permanent USA stage flag). ALL flag carriers and marchers, who are able, will stand at ground level in front of the stage and will remain standing until all Nations have entered and the U.S. National Anthem has been sung. Please try to stand compactly in order to accommodate all Marchers.
Plan on standing up to 30 minutes if your Nation is one of the first to enter the Organ Pavilion. After the U.S. national anthem has been sung, exit to the EAST. Take your flag to your cottage or to the Hall of Nations. Members of the Color Guard (the Young Marines) can assist.
All others please be seated and enjoy the festivities.
PRESIDENTS - PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO YOUR FLAG CARRIERS AND MARCHERS. ALSO LET ME KNOW WHO IS YOUR LEAD MARCHERS AND THE TOTAL NUMBER OF MARCHERS FOR YOUR COUNTRY.
I will wear a reddish Chinese style shirt on Saturday morning. Thanks.
